ASAP Instructional Designer


This client is live with Epic 2014 and continuing to have go lives across a number of facilities.  They currently need to administer some heavy instructional design and classroom training with a focus on the ASAP side.  This person will need be certified with 2014 and ideally has NVT on newer versions this role is a combination of instructional design and classroom training.    


This expert will work as an instructional designer, the sole focus area will be ASAP and all the functionality delivered with it.  This person will need to be certified and must have work on ASAP as an instructional designer and classroom trainer within the last 3 months.  Certifications in other areas are helpful but the only hands on focus will be with ASAP so the person must have done course development and classroom training in order to be up to date on delivery expertise. 


This person will work with new employees, new hires, they will deal with doctors and nurses as the people being trained for the first time with ASAP.   They will work on doing department rounds, over the shoulder critiquing, and providing the written curriculum.  This person needs to be very well spoken and an expert hands on trainer.     The combination of creating materials and delivering them will be required to be effective.  The person will work on creating dashboards, course materials, pushing training messages within Epic, review the training tasks and setting schedules, creating tip sheets, and going from classroom to classroom.  The person needs to have done instructional design and classroom training within the last 3 months, they must be experts at training new people, training physicians and nurses, urgent care centers, ambulatory clinics, and an expert at creating and modify instructional documents.

  • Certified Epic 2014 ASAP
  • Instructional design and classroom training
  • Creating classroom documents and training documents
  • Well spoken, organized, expert with ASAP delivered functionality
  • Ability to mentor, train new hires, over the shoulder training, creating tip sheets
  • Must have done ASAP training and instructional design in last 3 months
