This program is supporting a number of systems and requires a strong Linux administrator that can help maintain, support, and enhance an existing environment. The main focus of the Linux admin will be to learn and help support as an administrator.
Day to Day:
The Linux System Administrator’ s role is to support the technology infrastructure for mission critical systems within the organization. The Admin must have strong experience with Linux of medium to large server networks. System Administration tasking will include building, configuring, installing and maintaining Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) servers; configuring and maintaining RHEL virtual servers; installing, configuring.
The Engineer will also be responsible for the system administration of the Modernized Integrated Database servers; configuring, monitoring and maintaining the current data replication threads; supporting the installation of MIDB software upgrades; and assisting with maintaining MIDB data quality. They will have the opportunity to work with the Sybase ASE database and the Wildfly application server COTS to operate at an optimal level.

- Strong Linux System Administration background and knowledge of best system admin practices (installations, backups, patching, performance tuning, monitoring, etc.)
- Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux
