Program Description:

The role of the NetScaler Administrator will support all operation aspects of the NetScaler environment to include event management, system upgrades, incident management, and day-to-day Operations & Sustainment of the enterprise NetScaler environment. The candidate will also be responsible for assisting in the implementation of patches into the Production environment.  The NetScaler Administrator will work hand-in-hand with System Administrators, Test/Lab Engineers, and Engineering in all things respective of the NetScaler environment. This position will report to the O&S Support Manager.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

The position will be responsible for the production NetScaler environment including maintaining configuration and recovery documentation for designated systems. The candidate will serve as the initial escalation point for NetScaler  issues related to the Desktop Initiative Solution. They will provide updates and maintenance of the  NetScaler, XenDesktop, and VDI  (virtualized desktop infrastructure) solutions. They will monitor, evaluate and remediate any health concerns within the NetScaler environment. They will also maintain documentation of all processes associated with administration of the CITRIX NetScaler solution

 

Required skills:

A combination of 8+ years  of  O&S system administration experience in the following areas:         
  • Citrix XenDesktop, XenApp, Provisioning Services, Xenserver, and NetScaler
  • VMware vSphere 
  • Microsoft Server (2012 R2 experience preferred)
  •   Microsoft Windows 7 & 10
  • SQL Server 2012 & 2014 (2014 experience preferred)

Desired skills:
  • Citrix Certified Associate – Networking CCA - N
  • Power Shell Scripting
  • VDI  (virtualized desktop infrastructure) Environment
  • CITRIX Xen Desktop 7.x
