This program has been focused on Software, Integration and Test efforts the last 12-18 months, in a heavily liaised, mutli-customer, collaborative environment. They are getting ready to transition to more of an O&M environment in the spring time. As part of this effort, they are looking for folks that are willing, able and can commit to a 2 ½ year-long job as a Systems Administrator that helps to maintain, ensure efficient health of, updates software to, deployed systems remotely. The candidate will be participating in certain exciting and specific training over a 4-6 week period prior to the environment shift to a 24x7 O&M environment.
This position is PERFECT for an individual trying to grow and expand their career and get their hands on new skillsets that maybe they lacked coming into the program. Seeking hard working, willing to learn, team oriented, and go-getter individuals.
This person will be a part of a team that supports development and O&M as well as helping out in the Laboratory initially. Daily, this person will be responsible for assisting with the developers and supporting a development environment as well as a very manual intensive system. This Sys Admin will be responsible for monitoring systems in a 24/7 support environment. This person will be working on several different networks as well as administration for daily users and user logs. This person will also be responsible for training other users on how monitor systems, how to use software applications and monitoring using NAGIOS for Status / Health checks. Many folks will be taking over the systems documentation, and working on several platforms including Linux, Windows, RedHat and other highly customized (customer based) systems.
Scripting or Data transfer experience
Windows Application (excel)
Experience working in an Operations Center environment (NOC/SOC/ESOC, etc)
