PeopleSoft Payroll Business Analyst


The client is live on PeopleSoft v9.1 with the full financials suite and HCM suite. They are upgrading HCM and Financials to v9.2. The HCM team currently owns the Payroll module but the payroll responsibilities will be going to the Financials team. While they are upgrading to v9.2, this person will not be working on the upgrade. Because the Financials team does not have payroll experience in house, they need a PeopleSoft Payroll Business Analyst who has 9.2 Payroll experience to come in to work on support work and minor project work.



As the only Payroll Business Analyst on the team, this person will be the liaison between the systems analysts and the Financials Business Analysts. This person must be comfortable being hands on with day to day responsibilities including processing payroll, support tickets, and communicating with the Finance team as well as the IT team.   This person will be in charge of writing functional design specs and all payroll documentation. The person will handle some basic enhancements, troubleshooting, tickets, support, etc. Because the Financials team is not experienced with Payroll, this person must be comfortable answering questions and explaining things to a new user group.


As a payroll expert this person will need to be a hands on expert.  They will need to understand the tables, table set up, functionality, payroll configuration, set up, and support of payroll.  From the payroll side this includes but is not limited to: weekly & bi-weekly payroll runs, taxes, deductions, 401k, bonus, benefits, interface to PeopleSoft HR and how it posts to  the GL, hourly/salaried, 20, 000 or more employee environment, union, and non-union.  This person will need to be comfortable walking into a live environment.


They use API for time and attendance so if they have experience with that system that would be a plus.
