Project Description: Our client initially is in the middle of rolling out Workday HCM, Payroll, Benefits, and Absence. This client went live with 4, 000 employees in Wave 1, 120, 000 employees in Wave 2, and is going live with an additional 35, 000 employees in a 1 week for Wave 3. Wave 4 will be another 12, 000 employees in December. This client currently has 8 tenants for production, benefits, integrations, data loading, and training.

At this point in the project, our client has a support group of 4 employees that oversee support for all “ live systems” for Kronos, PeopleSoft, and Workday. This support team has been working with Kronos and PeopleSoft for many years and are comfortable with those systems, but are very new to Workday and are in need of training to become a better Workday support team. Their manager has contemplated sending the team to Workday Training classes for HCM Fundamentals, Reporting, Calc Fields, and potentially Integrations. However, this manager would rather bring in a consultant who can provide similar training/coursework to his team personally and help them do support.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

This consultant will be asked to provide training and coursework that will cover the areas of HCM Fundamentals, Reporting, Calc Fields, and potentially Integrations. They will cover a curriculum with the support team and help educate them on being better support people. After providing the training, this consultant will then be asked to actually do hands on support with the consultants and help them troubleshoot live issues.

In order to be successful in this role, this person should not only be comfortable training the materials but also doing hands on support and mentoring the team.

Required skills
  • Workday Training/Courseware Development 2-3+ Years
  • Exposure/knowledge of material trained in HCM Fundamentals, Reporting, Calc Fields, and potentially Integrations
  • Ability to effectively train virtually
  • Experience with hands on support issues in Workday
  • Experience mentoring a team
