Epic Infection Control Analyst


Background: The client is implementing a single Epic EHR system in all its locations throughout the US. This system will replace upwards of 300 legacy systems.  The team that these consultants is very dynamic and demanding.  They are one of the largest health systems in the country.

Project: The client currently has a need for an Epic certified contractor to provide assistance in the design, build, and implementation of Bugzy (Infection Control) tools. The primary assignment will be the support and maintenance of existing infection control tools (e.g. reporting workbench reports, isolation & infection mismatch tools) as well as design and build of the upcoming Epic 2019 Upgrade Project as it pertains to Bugzy (Infection Control). The contractor will be expected to manage the build, testing, and migration of records based on decisions made by Nursing Informatics and Infection Preventionists.

The consultant hired will have Bugzy (Infection Control) certification through Epic version 2018 NVT and at least 3 years of Epic build experience in the latest releases. Additional certifications in Reporting Workbench, Radar, Epic Inpatient Procedural Orders, Epic Inpatient Clinical Documentation, and Epic Reporting Workbench are a plus. Bachelor' s degree required. Additional experience with quality reporting to external agencies (e.g. NHSN), microbiology and/or lab would be a plus.

Required: Infection Control Certification NVT 2018

            3-5 years of build experience in latest releases

            Bachelor’ s Degree  

Plus: Reporting Workbench Certification

            Radar Certification

            Inpatient Procedural Orders Certification

            Inpatient Clinical Documentation Certification

            Quality reporting to external Agencies Experience

            Microbiology and/or lab experience
