Medical Device Automation Controls Engineer

Environment:

Our client is a large manufacturer of Medical Supplies, Bottling, Tubing Extrusion and various reconstitution devices. Client is currently undertaking a capital expansion project to increase manufacturing capabilities. Looking for a Sr. Automation Controls Engineer to design/modify the new precision assembly and/or manufacturing equipment.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will have experience managing the start-up, debugging, and commissioning of new manufacturing processes/ equipment. They will have worked on full equipment life cycle management including: upgrades, replacement, and decommissioning. They will also have experience with product life cycle management including: product design changes, material changes, Supplier Notice of Change (SNC) assessments, specification changes, etc.

This person must display a solid understanding of PLCs, HMI software, and electrical systems. Have experience programming/troubleshooting automation controls, automated assembly, control systems, PLC’ s, HMI’ s, servo’ s, and vision inspection systems is preferred. Plastics experience such as: plastic blow molding, plastic component injection molding, liquid silicone molding, or film/tubing extrusion is a huge plus.

Require:

•     Bachelor degree in Engineering Required (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or Computer degrees are preferred)

•     5+ years Engineering / Medical Device Manufacturing experience.

•     Solid understanding of PLCs, HMI software, and electrical systems.

•     Programming/troubleshooting experience with automation controls, automated assembly, control systems, PLC’ s, HMI’ s, servo’ s, and vision inspection systems is preferred.
