PeopleSoft SCM Business Analyst
PeopleSoft SCM Business Analyst
The client is installing PeopleSoft SCM v9.2 for all the companies’ locations. At the current time some of the locations are already live and stable, but the future locations present extra challenges based on old systems and out dated ways of handling SCM and Inventory/epro. The client needs a Business Analyst to focus on the Supply Chain space.
Day to Day:
The client is in need of a few resources who will join the team to help with the process improvement for several SCM installs. They are in need of someone to help educate their current employees, so they need someone who understands and can help figure out any gaps within the existing environment. This person will approach this work as a true SCM business analyst.
While the ERP system they are implementing is PeopleSoft, most of the work this person will do will be within Excel (pivot tables, grids, etc.). In addition to Excel, this person must have healthcare experience. The two most important things that the client is looking for is Excel experience as well as Healthcare experience. If the resource has PeopleSoft experience, that is the icing on the cake and this resource will get hired.
They will need to be very well spoken and will NOT handle any configuration or FLC work as the hands on focus will all be analyst work; gathering requirements, mapping, working with the business, locating gaps, and helping to ensure PeopleSoft matches the exact focus of how the business works.
The person needed will work with the SI and get training on what they hope to accomplish during this business transformation. The consultant will also work on what needs to go, stay, be changed, improved upon, and what PeopleSoft will bring, etc. The idea is for these consultants are to assist with prep work before major deployments. There is almost a hint of change management based on what these people work on. They will help in cleaning up the inventory processes, they will work on gathering requirements for process improvements, work with the business to ensure when the ERP is rolled out business/market standards are met, etc. All this work is considered prep/pre-install work for PeopleSoft. The people will work on analysis of epro, inventory, and mobile inventory processes and procedures and practical applications of the systems that support Inventory.
This people will need to have roughly 5 years of BA experience. They need to be excellent with communication and documentation. These people will get trained and then work at the various locations on inventory, mobile inventory, and e pro set up. These people will likely have at least 2 recent years of Inventory experience which means they will have overall SCM experience. The industry of experience must be healthcare. The people need strong data analysis skills and must be comfortable working with the business on Inventory review, improvements, requirement gathering, and ERP pre-install work. This expert will have had an SCM focus, PeopleSoft SCM with a focus on inventory and some mobile inventory, and at least one recent healthcare client.
