SAP BASIS Consultant


Background: This client is currently on ECC Enhancement Pak 4, running on NetWeaver 7.01. We need a temporary high-skilled SAP Basis resource to backfill my current duties.


Project: Currently the client is in need of an SAP Basis expert to come in and help provide technical support and leadership on SAP Basis systems by helping to backfill a position. This resource needs to be comfortable working in a non-standard environment SAP environment and able to adapt quickly coupled and customized systems running ECC6 EhP4 on NW7.01. This individual will need to do End-to-end support of new and existing integrations via CPI/HCI, NW Gateway 2.0, OData Web Services, & SOAP interphases. The person completing these requirements should have an immense amount of experience in ECC, BW, and BusinessObjects Systems. This person will support new single-sign-on integrations between SAP on-prem and cloud systems via Microsoft Active Directory. He/She will also closely support and interact with development resources during project implementations. This consultant will also be in charge of full support of BusinessObjects 4.X landscape backed by BW 7.01 system. Specialty Maintenance tasks will include but not limited to: 
  • Investigating ST22 short dumps
  • SAP Number ranges
  • Document change tracking & auditing
  • Parallel index creation via BRTools or Oracle tools
  • Manual statistics gathering via BRConnect
  • RFC Destinations, Trusted Systems, Secstore
  • ICF security management, whitelists, and HTTP action rewrite scripts on ECC & NW Gateway hosts
  • SM37 Jobs, BW Queues, DTPs & Workflows, and Batch ETL jobs to/from ZTables
  • SCC4, SE06, STMS management of Dev & Sandbox systems to support projects
  • SAPGUI Distribution Server maintenance and mass deployments

Clear written and communication for maintenance of change documents and emailed correspondence with users.

Integration experience


Personable and able to effectively communicate with end-users, especially during incident management.


Rapid-fire troubleshooting ability


Able to creatively solve problems while managing risk.
