Linux System Admin
This position requires ad TS SCI with Poly
Program Background: This program is responsible for supporting the operations and launch for their customers involved. This is an O&M environment as well as a sustainment effort where they are constantly creating new software to adapt to the moving parts of the customer. Anyone who comes in will help support a SDLC (software dev life cycle) as well as continuous launching. They will be working with small static databases that provide connectivity to the customer, which will be supporting launches with SpaceX and ULA. The program is mission centric, the environment is an agile structure.
Day to Day:
This person will come in to provide as-needed engineering design solutions to address deficiencies, discrepancies or new requirements related to hardware and communication components. They will have to part take in developing, proposing, configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting network systems.They will have to support architectural trade studies and designing of engineering solutions
And assist with timely installation of IT systems, upgrades, and software. Prepares and maintains project plans associated with assigned technical efforts. They must provide real-time troubleshooting support to baseline issues, troubleshooting and administration / maintenance of mission computing systems.
- Experience as a Linux administrator (windows is accepted, but must understand RHEL).
- Security Plus Cert (current) before stepping on site
- Red hat
- Hands-on knowledge of Windows Servers, Windows Failover Clusters, Active Directory, TCP/IP, DNS, RAID, FTP and Load Balancers
- Switched and firewalls experience
- Strong knowledge of STIGs and Security Patch Management
Knowledge of Compute Cloud Services, Cloud and Managed Hosting such as Amazon Web Services (AWS)
Knowledge of Splunk or Solar Wiinds
Knowledge of Pure Storage
Knowledge of Switches, Routers, Firewalls
Knowledge of Hardware Wall Cross Domain Solution
Knowledge of Scripting language
Knowledge of Oracle
