Workday Techno Functional HCM  Specialist

 

Background: Client has a total of 900 employees, with a user population of about 10k. They are currently going through their Workday HCM implementation in a phased approach.

Phase 1: Core HR, Benefits, Absence, Payroll, Onboarding, and Recruiting

Phase 2: Performance Management, Learning, and Advance Compensation

They are currently using OSV as their implementation partner however are going with an “ Out of the Box” approach and need someone to come in and help with this style of an implementation

Project: This person is a true Workday Business Analyst who is techno functional  expert and not a PM. They will be performing tactical work and will be partnering with the business to perform end to end testing. During this time they will be crossing over from their current process and going into the next phase. They will need to ease them into this phased approach by providing the team with nomenclature, free online training and talking with them throughout the implementation. The goal will be to provide knowledge transfer throughout and enabling the team to familiarize themselves with the Workday language.

They will be heavily involved with the test scenarios, and will be required to provide recommendations and an overall test strategy. This person will be expected to either lead or partner with the QA team on the test scripts, reporting on needs and making suggestions/informing them of what they should or should not be doing, ie: data that is not needed.

Lastly, there will be training requirements expected from this individual. This person should be able to look at the resources in place from a “ communication, testing, and training” perspective and speak to these requirements. They will identify what works best in regards to training the overall team. It is expected that this person has configuration experience but this will not be a hands on role. Therefore, they will be expected to evaluate Workday configurations, security groups, business processes and other configurations. It is desirable  that they have had exposure to   creating plans/training documents  and partnering with the  trainers.

Required:
  • Workday Techno Functional experience  2+ years
  • Experience with Testing
  • HCM Implementations 2-3
  • Training Experience (It desirable  to have experience creating plans & learning doc' s)
